Adding skills to the personal skill set

Skills are grouped in an app. On the Skill catalog page, you select an app tile and can see the skills that the app offers. So, you can add these skills to your personal skill set.

Note: Users can add skills from the catalog only to their personal skill set. Only admins can manage the team skill set.

Adding a skill to the personal skill set

Follow the procedure to add a skill or skill flow from the catalog to the personal skill set.

  1. On the watsonx Orchestrate chat page, click Add skills from the catalog.

  2. Under All Apps, click the app tile that contains the skill.

    Notes:
    • Skills flows are grouped in a tile named Skill flows.
    • If a skill flow contains a skill that is not added to your personal skill set, it prompts you to connect to each individual skill through the watsonx Orchestrate UI. Before creating a skill flow, make sure that all the skills you intend to use are already available in the skill catalog.
    • If the skill from a prebuilt app is not added to your skill set automatically, you must add this skill manually.
  3. You can add the skill in two ways:

    • Click Add skill + in the skill tile.
    • Select the skill tile and click the Add skill button in the side window that is opened.

The Added word in the skill tile indicates that the skill was added to the personal skill set.

Removing a skill from the personal skill set

To remove a skill from the personal skill set:

  1. On the watsonx Orchestrate chat page, click Add skills from the catalog.
  2. Under All Apps, click the app tile that contains the skill.
  3. Click the skill tile.
  4. Click Remove skill on the side window.
