Procedure: Removing and replacing lid of a node canister
To remove or replace the lid of a node canister, use this procedure.
About this task
To remove the lid of a node canister, which might be necessary to service a node canister or replace a FRU (Field Replaceable Unit) that is contained within the canister, use this procedure.
Attention: The lid of a node canister can only be removed after the canister has been removed from its enclosure. Unless otherwise instructed, follow Procedure: Removing a node canister to remove a node canister from its enclosure.
To remove a canister lid:
- Place the node canister upside down on a work surface, with the release levers facing you.
- Open the cover of the canister by depressing the recessed, blue touch points on the lid and sliding the lid away from you as shown in Figure 1.
To replace a canister lid, slide the canister lid onto the canister until the catch clicks and the lid edges are flush with the canister.
