New for Data Protection for Microsoft Exchange Server Version 7.1.4

Data Protection for Microsoft Exchange Server includes new features and changes.

Restoring Microsoft Exchange mailboxes when database files are moved or deleted
In this release, Administrators can now run mailbox restore operations when application protection for Microsoft Exchange server is enabled for VM backup, and when changes occur after the backup is created. These mailbox restore operations do not require manual intervention and relate only to mailboxes whose database EDB and log file locations are changed after the VM backup is created.
Run instant restore operations on IBM and non-IBM storage systems
In Microsoft Windows Server 2012 or later, you can use Tivoli® Storage FlashCopy® Manager to run instant restore operations on IBM and non-IBM storage systems. You must have a Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager licence to avail of this feature.
Tip: For more information on running instant restore operations on IBM and non-IBM storage systems, see the New for Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager Version 4.1.4 section in the IBM® Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager Installation and User's Guide for Windows.
