Generating and downloading CSR
To apply for an SSL certificate that is certified by a Certificate Authority, you need to provide the following information to generate and download the Certificate Signing Request (CSR) file.
Procedure
- In the navigation pane, click Administration > Certificates. The Certificates page is displayed.
- Click the Certificate Authority Signing Request section.

- Enter the fully qualified host name (FQDN) of TSA in the Common Name field. The minimum character length is 1 and the maximum character length is 64.
- Specify the organization name, which differentiates between divisions within an organization in the Organization Unit field.
- Specify the name of the corporation, limited partnership, university, or government agency in the Organization field.
- Specify the city or locality name where the TSA is operated in the City field.
- Specify the state or province name where the TSA is operated in the State field. If you are not sure of the state, or if state does not apply for your country, type Unknown.
- Select the country name where the TSA is operated in the Country drop-down.
- Specify the number of days that the certificate is valid starting from the time the certificate is created, in the Number of days until expiration field.
- Subject Alternative Name (SAN): (Optional) Specify the alternative names associated with
this certificate.

Subject Alternative Names is the preferred method of adding DNS names to certificates.
- Click Generate and download Certificate Signing Request (CSR) file
to create and download the CSR file with the specified information.Note: To restore the default certificate that is packaged with TSA, see section Restoring the default certificate.
