Installing the BIRT application

You install the BIRT Report Designer once. Before you begin the installation, ensure that a supported version of the Java™ JRE is installed locally.

Procedure

  1. Go to Eclipse Downloads and download BIRT Designer All-in-One to a local directory. The directory name cannot include any spaces.
  2. In the folder where you downloaded BIRT, extract the compressed file, open the Eclipse folder, and run the eclipse.exe file.
  3. Select the workplace location where Eclipse stores your project files and select OK.
