The basic IBM Spectrum Scale structure
IBM Spectrum Scale is a clustered file system defined over one or more nodes. On each node in the cluster, IBM Spectrum Scale consists of three basic components: administration commands, a kernel extension, and a multithreaded daemon.
For more information, see the following topics:
- GPFS administration commands
- The GPFS kernel extension
- The GPFS daemon
- For nodes in your cluster operating with the Linux operating system, The GPFS open source portability layer
