Setting up individual Ready Node management

Establish Ready Node management functions necessary to monitor Ready Node operation and health status.

About this task

After installing and configuring the hardware and the network, you can set up individual Ready Node management functions.
The following Dell documents provide details for the set up and configuration sections below.

Procedure

  1. Configure network settings as per the documentation.
  2. Log in to each Ready Node management port with the IP address or an assigned hostname.
    • Ready Node management default username - root
    • Ready Node management default password - calvin
    Note: IBM recommends changing the password.
  3. Configure and start the LCC per the vendor documentation.
    • Provide resources for the operating system (OS) loading and firmware upgrade.
  4. Verify items.
    • Ready Node must be in Healthy state.
    • Ready Node component inventory must match the related specifications.
  5. View the Ready Node management screen. For example, in the following diagram, the Ready Node management is in a healthy state.
