Interpreting port-side LEDs
System activity and status can be determined through the activity of the LEDs on the switch.
One LED per SFP port to indicate status.
There are 48 LEDs (green/amber) for the first 48 SFP+ ports and 8 tri-color LEDs (green/amber/light-blue) for the last 8 SFP+ ports 48, 50, 52, 54, 56, 60, and 62. The last set of LEDs pulse once in light-blue, before indicating the FC port status in green or amber. All functionalities pertaining to the green/amber colors for the last 8 LEDs remain the same as the first 48 LEDs.
There are three possible LED states: no light, a steady light, and a flashing light. Flashing lights may be slow, fast, or flickering.
Sometimes, the LEDs may flash either of the colors during boot, POST, or other diagnostic tests. This is normal; it only indicates a problem if the LEDs indicate an unhealthy state after all boot processes and diagnostic tests complete.
