Column chooser

The column chooser dialog is opened by clicking the column chooser icon button in the table toolbar.

The dialog has two buttons Cancel and Apply. The Apply button is disabled initially, and is enabled when you make some changes.

The dialog has all the columns of the table that is grouped under 6 predefined column groups, System properties, System status, Capacity parameters, Performance status, Security parameters, and Sustainability.

Each of these column groups are displayed in an expandable or collapsible section with a header. User is able to show or hide any column by selecting or not selecting these checkboxes. But, Storage systems column is always visible. You cannot hide this column.

Users can reorder columns in a column group. The first column, Storage systems, is locked and cannot be moved or dragged. The user can drag and reorder other columns based on the required order. Each column displays an icon to select and drag the column in the required order. The columns that are selected, are added to the last of the table and user can reorder them based on the requirement.

The column group header has a checkbox, which works as a Select or Deselect all columns checkbox. On selecting the checkbox, it selects all the columns under that group and vice versa. The header also displays a count (like 3/5) denoting the number of columns that are selected among the total columns, for example, 3/5 means that 3 columns are selected among 5 total columns under that column group. There is also a close icon button (x) next to the counts that enables you to deselect all the columns under that column group.

There is a Clear sections option at the upper right corner of the dialog. On clicking, it deselects all the columns from all the column groups. There is a Restore default columns link that restores the column's visibility to default state.
