Uninstalling an interim fix from a SPOT
Use the instructions to uninstall an interim fix from a SPOT.
To uninstall an interim fix from the SPOT, use the fix <Label> with
a maint command on the SPOT. The label is related to, but not exactly
the filename. It is the first part of the filename.
Example:
nim -Fo maint -a installp_flags=u -a filesets=<Label> <Spot_Name>Example:
# nim -Fo maint -a installp_flags=u -a filesets=IY12345 520spotNote: Installing
this interim fix locks the affected fileset to prevent the installation
of an update that does not contain the fix from regressing the system.
After the official fix is available, you can use the interim fix
deinstall command to uninstall the interim fix before applying the
official APAR.
