Managing Open Snap Store Manager (OSSM) keys

You can create registration keys and view API keys in the Operation Center.

OSSM uses the following two keys:

Registration key: A registration key is used to register an OSSM instance with a IBM Spectrum Protect Plus server.

API key: After you have used the key in IBM Spectrum Protect Plus, an API key replaces the initial registration key.

To register another IBM Spectrum Protect Plus server, you must generate a new registration key. The API key is used to identify and authenticate the IBM Spectrum Protect instance.
