showenvironment command

Use the showenvironment command to query the IBM® Spectrum Protect server with the options that are set in –TDPO_OPTFILE, the tdpo.opt file in the default installation directory, or the default values set by Data Protection for Oracle.

The screen output displays information about the IBM Spectrum Protect API and IBM Spectrum Protect server. This command is useful if you are troubleshooting setup errors for Data Protection for Oracle. If the password file is not initialized properly, the output of the tdpoconf showenvironment command reports the error.
Tip: To ensure that the environment is set up correctly before you use RMAN, direct the setup output to a file with the –outfile option.
