Update the session security value of an administrator ID on managed servers

IBM Spectrum Protect Version 8.1.7 introduces the ability to use the UPDATE ADMIN command to modify the SESSIONSECURITY parameter value of an administrator ID on managed servers.

If you are using a single administrator ID to access multiple systems, you can set the SESSIONSECURITY parameter value to TRANSITIONAL on a managed server that is V8.1.7 or later to acquire certificates. For example, if you have a managed server that receives configuration information from a configuration manager by using a subscription to one or more profiles, you can use the UPDATE ADMIN command to modify the SESSIONSECURITY parameter value of an administrator ID on that server.
