Updates in the number of invalid logon attempts allowed for authentication
Starting with IBM Spectrum® Protect 8.1.15, the minimum number of invalid logon attempts that are allowed before a node or administrator account is locked is changed from 0 to 1. The maximum number of invalid logon attempts that are allowed is 10. The default is 5.
The invalid logon attempts limit applies only to nodes or administrator accounts in which session security is set to STRICT. The nodes or administrator accounts in which session security is set to TRANSITIONAL, get locked after one invalid logon attempt no matter what value is specified by the SET INVALIDPWLIMIT command.
