Stopping notebooks in an instance group
When notebooks are associated with a instance group, you can stop a notebook independent of the instance group. You might need to stop a notebook for maintenance or to free up resources when the notebook is not in use.
Before you begin
- To stop any notebook, you must be a cluster administrator or a consumer administrator. To stop your own notebook, you must have the Services Control permission.
- The notebook service must be in the Started, Init, Allocating, Error, or Tentative state.
Notebooks are always stopped automatically when the associated instance group is stopped.
Procedure
- From the cluster management console, click Instance Groups.
- Select the instance group to which the notebook is associated.
- Click the Notebooks tab.
- Select the notebook and click Stop.
