Validating the installation

Learn how to validate the IBM Robotic Process Automation as a Service installation.

Procedure

You can use the following procedures to validate the installation:

Checking whether the computer was created

  1. Log in to the IBM RPA Control Center.
  2. Click the Computers page under the Define menu.
  3. Search for the computer's name. If you use an IBM RPA client version prior to 21.0.2, search for the computer's hostname.
  4. If you cannot find the computer, see Installing the certificate manually to add your computer to the IBM RPA Control Center.

Checking whether the license is active

Important:
  • Starting from version 23.0.2, you must have an installation key to install IBM Robotic Process Automation Client. Versions before 23.0.2 still uses License ID and License password.
  • Starting from version 23.0.3, the License page (https://localhost:8099/web/en-US/license) is no longer available. For details on proxy, region, or status, go to the IBM RPA Client page (https://localhost:8099/web/en-US/ibmrpaclient) instead.

Go to the license page (https://localhost:8099/web/en-US/license). If the license isn't active, click Activate and then enter your license ID and license password.

If you are unable to see the license page, then you must start the IBM Robotic Process Automation Agent service, as described in the following step.

Checking the IBM Robotic Process Automation Agent service

  1. Open the Windows Task Manager.
  2. On the Services tab, search for IBM Robotic Process Automation Agent.
  3. Choose the action as needed:
    • If the service is running, right-click on it and select Restart.
    • If the service is not running, right-click on it and select Start.
