Licensing for your installed IBM® software
and customized packages is administered using the Manage Licenses wizard in
the IBM Installation Manager. The Manage
Licenses wizard displays license information for each of your installed packages.

9.6 comes
with a permanent license for the product level and trial license for the either
RPG and COBOL Tools feature, or Modernization Tools, Java Edition feature. If you are installing the software
for the first time or want to extend a license to continue using the specific
feature, you can activate licensing for the feature by importing a license
activation kit using the Manage Licenses wizard. Using the Manage Licenses
wizard, you can also enable Floating license enforcement for offerings with
trial or permanent licenses to use floating license keys from a license server.
Note: If you are using a trial license, it will expire 60 days after
installation. You need to activate your product to use it after the expiration
date.
