ClearQuest Client user tutorial

This tutorial is for users who will use the ClearQuest Client to submit, modify, and transition change requests; create and run queries to retrieve change requests; and produce reports that display summary information about the change requests in your user database.

Some of the tutorial modules use viewlets, animated slide presentations, to illustrate tasks or provide an overview of the GUI. To run the viewlets, make sure that Adobe Macromedia Flash is installed in your Web browser.

This tutorial includes the following modules:

  1. Overview of the ClearQuest Client
    Watch a short animation that introduces the features of the Rational ClearQuest Client.
  2. Connect to a Rational ClearQuest database
    Follow the steps provided, or watch a short animation, to learn how to connect to a sample user database.
  3. Overview of change requests
    Learn how to submit, modify, and transition change requests using the ClearQuest Client.
  4. Overview of queries
    Complete the exercises in this module to learn about using queries in the ClearQuest Client.
