You can create resources or add links to resources on an IBM® Jazz™ server
in either forums or with the Resource type of custom asset attributes.
To do so, you must add a Jazz server,
such as IBM Rational® Team Concert,
as a friend server.
Before you begin
You must be a repository administrator to add friend servers.
An
administrator for the Jazz server
must accept the IBM Rational Asset Manager server.
About this task
In this procedure, the Rational Asset
Manager server requests a consumer key and consumer secret from a Jazz server. You do not need to
generate a consumer key and secret from the Jazz server before you complete this procedure.
To
add a server that is not based on Jazz as
a friend server, see Adding OAuth friend servers for OpenSocial gadgets.
Procedure
to the web application.
- Click Administration.
- In the Repository Administration
sidebar, click Cross-Server Communications.
- In the Friend Servers
section,
click New Friend Server.
- Type the following information about the Jazz server:
Option |
Description |
Name |
A descriptive name for the server connection |
Description |
An optional description of the server connection |
Consumer secret |
The consumer secret that accompanies the consumer key. You
do not enter the consumer key; instead, consumer key is requested
from the Jazz server |
Server type |
Select Jazz Server |
Root services URL |
The fully qualified root services URL, including the port
number, if necessary, for the Jazz server.
For example, https://hostname:port/jazz/rootservices. |
Trusted |
Select this option if you are using the Collaborative ALM (CALM) approval specification.
You must provide a URL for the server to use to authenticate, a user
name, and a password. If you do not select this option, individual
users will have to authorize the Jazz server
to collaborate with Rational Asset Manager |
- Click OK. A provisional
consumer key is created on the Jazz server.
Note: Note: Rational DOORS® web
access does not support provisional keys. Once the connection is defined
it is trusted and you can immediately use it; no approval is necessary.
- On the Jazz server,
approve the provisional consumer key. The following steps might vary
depending your version of Jazz:
- Log in to the administrative section for the Jazz server (typically https://example.com:9443/jazz/admin).
- If necessary, click Server.
- In the sidebar, under Configuration, click OAuth
Consumer Management.
- In the Provisional Keys section, find the appropriate
entry for the Rational Asset
Manager server. The entry in the Consumer Name field
will match what you entered in the Name field
in Rational Asset Manager.
- If you requested a trusted connection, select the Trusted check
box.
- From the Authorized list, click Approve.
- Click Save.
