Allowlisting an IP address

You allowlist an IP address by adding the classless inter-domain routing (CIDR) value to the Allowlist Management page.

Procedure

  1. Open the Admin settings, and click QRadar on Cloud Self Serve.
  2. Click Allowlist Management.

The list shows all of your QRadar® on Cloud allowlisted CIDRs.

  3. Click Add.
  4. Enter the CIDR.

The CIDR value must be in the range /24 - /32.

Private CIDR ranges are restricted, and you cannot add duplicate values.

  5. Optional: Enter a description.

The description can be up to 250 characters in length.

  6. Click Save.
  7. Click Submit, and then click Confirm.

When you click Submit, all of the changes that you made in the table are updated on the server. During the submit, the allowlisted IP address ranges are deleted, and the list is rebuilt. This process can take some time. If you have several changes to make, make them all before you click Submit.

The table options are unavailable during the submission.

If the connection to the server is lost during the submission, an internal server error is displayed, and you must reenter the changes.

It can take some time before the allowlisted IP address can access the console. If the IP address still cannot access the console after a couple of hours, contact IBM® Support.
