Downloading the SSL certificate for Logon-event Scanner

Creating a secure connection between the IBM Security Logon-event Scanner and the IBM QRadar Network Security appliance requires an SSL certificate, which you can export from the appliance.

Procedure

  1. Click Manage > Appliance SSL Certificate.
  2. On the Appliance SSL Certificate page, click Download Appliance SSL Certificate.
  3. Browse to the location you want to save the file, and then click Save. The certificate is saved in Privacy Enhanced Mail (.pem) format.

What to do next

After you download the SSL certificate, you must install the certificate in the IBM Security Logon-event Scanner. You can apply the SSL certificate by using the Logon-event Scanner installation wizard, or manually, by using the MMC tool. See the Logon-event Scanner documentation for assistance.
