UpgradeHMC

You can use the following jobs to upgrade the Hardware Management Console (HMC) from one release to the next:

DownloadNetworkInstallImages_ManagementConsole Job
The DownloadNetworkInstallImages job downloads the network installation images and includes the options for downloading the network installation images from a local disk or a remote FTP, SFTP, and NFS server.
SaveUpgradeData_ManagementConsole Job
The SaveUpgradeData job saves the HMC upgrade data and includes the options of saving the data to disk, FTP, SFTP and USB. With HMC Version 10.3.1060.0, and later, you can also save HMC migration data.
SetAlternateDiskStartup_ManagementConsole Job
The SetAlternateDiskStartup job sets the alternate disk boot for install or upgrade operations of HMC.
ShutdownHMC_ManagementConsole Job
The ShutdownHMC job performs shutdown and reboot operations on the HMC.
