Scatter

Scatter visualizations use data points to plot two measures anywhere along a scale, not only at regular tick marks.

Scatter visualizations are useful for exploring correlations between different sets of data. The following example shows the correlation between revenue and gross profit for each product type.

Assigning multiple data items to a field

You can assign more than one data item to a field in Scatter visualizations.

To assign a data item to a field, select the data item from the data tree, Filters, or another field. Then, drag the data item to the Click or drag data here drop zone under the field you want to map in the Fields tab.

Assigning a data item to a field

When you drag data into an empty field, settings for that data item get mapped to the field. To replace a data item with another one, drag the new data item and place it on top of the existing one.

You can also rearrange the data items under a field by moving them up or down.
