Overview

This topic provides a brief explanation and topology of MQ-based integration between Sterling Order Management System and an external system.

Sterling Order Management System runs a full MQ server. Connection to the MQ Server is through a JMS/MQ Client by using a predefined MQI channel. By default, the MQ server does not have a message channel enabled for external connections. The MQI channel accommodates bidirectional message flows, allowing a Client to do both PUT and GET to queues. The MQ Client always initiates the connection to the QMGR, the MQ server cannot initiate a connection to the remote customer Client.
