To monitor the performance of your IBM Sterling® Order Management System site, applications, and overall solution, and to diagnose different monitoring parameters, IBM Sterling Order Management System uses different monitoring tools.

Thresholds and alert conditions for various performance and availability metrics are configured by IBM during the implementation of your service. These metrics are continually collected.

IBM Sterling Order Management System uses the following types of tools:
  • Proprietary and customized shell scripts.
  • High Availability Disaster Recovery (HADR) monitoring that is built into the Db2 database that is used for IBM Sterling Order Management System environments.
  • Application monitoring tools.
Important: IBM Sterling Order Management System monitoring does not support:
  • Customization of monitoring tools
  • Third-party monitoring tools to be installed and operating within IBM Sterling Order Management System environments.
  • The monitoring of third-party components
