Overview of Analytics configuration

You must follow specific steps to properly configure Business Intelligence.

Before using the Business Intelligence component, install Analytics products from the following CDs (or download the eImages for the necessary components from the IBM® Passport Advantage® website and install them):

• Analytics Server (specification for operating systems, such as 64-bit Windows)
• Analytics Modeling (operating system)
• Analytics Supplementary Languages Documentation (optional)

Install Analytics and Framework Manager according to the installation instructions provided with the products.:

If you are installing all Analytics products on one system, install them in the order presented here. When installing the LDAP server, use the same settings used to configure Sterling Selling and Fulfillment Foundation.

Depending on your usage (volume, users, data), you may require different configurations for the various servers used. For guidance on performance planning, see the Analytics IBM Documentation.
