Workspaces
The IBM® Z OMEGAMON® AI for Networks workspaces contain table views and graphs that report attribute information you are monitoring. You can use them to:
- Investigate attribute information relating to a change in state
- Monitor your system performance to identify bottlenecks and to evaluate tuning decisions
- Select the most effective conditional values for situations you create
Each workspace contains a navigation tree view and at least one table. The columns of the table show the metrics that are displayed in the workspace. The rows in the table can contain links to related workspaces that provide more detailed information. In addition to the navigation tree, table views and graphs, a workspace can contain other views, such as a notepad pane, a browser session, an event console, or a take action pane that gives you the ability to send commands to the operator console.
The IBM® Z OMEGAMON® AI for Networks workspaces are organized under these major categories:
- Enterprise Networks workspaces
- Agent and TCP/IP Subnode workspaces
- TCP/IP workspaces
- VTAM workspaces
All of the workspaces that ship with IBM® Z OMEGAMON® AI for Networks are read-only. To make changes to these workspaces, save them under a different name.
Note: Descriptions of each workspace apply to the default settings of the original configuration. Changes and additions that you make to a workspace are not described in the online help.
