Running test suites
You create test suites using the Compose wizard and run them from the Explore tab.
About this task
When you run a test suite, you are presented with a set of options, some of which are compulsory and some optional.
You must specify the following details:
Server: The Rule Execution Server where the tests are to run
Name: The name of the report
Decision Center suggests a default name, but you can change it to a name of your choice. Careful naming makes it easier to manage or compare reports.
You can also select the following options:
Create an Excel file separate from the report to store the output values: To save a separate Excel file that contains the values of your business terms before and after execution of the rules. This file is useful for troubleshooting or to see the results before filling in the expected results, as described in Using the output values.
Execution details: To add some of the execution details to the report. This information can be useful for troubleshooting.
Note:If you select either of these options, the Decision Warehouse also stores the execution trace.
Procedure
To run a test suite:
Results
Decision Center displays the report.
If the results are not what you expect, you can send a file to the development team that contains everything they need to reproduce your situation.
