Supported devices for IBM Maximo Worker Insights

The following devices are currently supported by the IBM® Maximo® Worker Insights solution.

Supported mobile devices

The Worker Insights app requires mobile devices that support the following features:

• Bluetooth LE (Low Energy)
• GPS
• Location services
• NFC (Near Field Communication)
• Wi-Fi

Supported Android devices

Android 7.0 or higher is required. A minimum of 2 GB of RAM is required.

Fully supported devices:

• Samsung Xcover 4
• Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

Supported iOS devices

iOS 10 or higher is required.

Fully supported devices:

• iPhone 7 models
• iPhone 8 models
• iPhone X
• iPad models with Wi-Fi + Cellular

The following iOS devices are supported with limitations because they lack NFC capability:

• iPhone 6 models
• iPhone SE
• iPhone 5 models

Multi-sensor devices

• Nordic Thingy:52™ - Device information

• Geniatech MuSeON:
  • Device information
  • Distribution and sales: English | German

• TI SensorTag CC2650STK:
  • Device information
  • Use Firmware version v1.30 or higher

Wearable Devices

• Garmin vívosmart® 3:
  • Device information
  • Use Firmware version 5.00 or higher
  • On first use, you must establish a bluetooth pairing between the Garmin vívosmart and your mobile device. For details, see Pairing the Garmin vívosmart band.

• Garmin vívosmart® 4:
  • Device information
  • Use Firmware version 2.90 or higher
  • On first use, you must establish a bluetooth pairing between the Garmin vívosmart and your mobile device. For details, see Pairing the Garmin vívosmart band.

• Mitsufuji hamon®:
  • Device information

Beacons

IBM Maximo Worker Insights supports beacons that follow the iBeacon protocol. Although many iBeacon options exist, beacons from the following vendors are confirmed to be compatible with IBM Maximo Worker Insights:

• Honeywell MicroRAE™:
  • Device information
  • Important: Make sure the device you order has Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) installed.
  • To use this device, your Worker Insights app must be version 1.1.0 or later.
