Indoor maps

Maximo® Spatial supports the ESRI data model for indoors maps that you can use to access data by building and floor.

Mapping indoor GIS data helps your organization with space and facility management operations, such as wayfinding, maintenance, and problem reporting. Site indoor maps can filter GIS and asset management details by building, floor, and unit. This information can be used by personnel to report issues. Maximo Spatial can create a work order and notify a technician through their mobile device. Indoor GIS data directs the technician to the exact location of the reported issue.

Web maps must be published with ArcGIS indoors configuration that is enabled to use indoor maps in Maximo Spatial.

For more information, see Get started with ArcGIS Indoors and ArcGIS Indoors Information Model.

After you have configured an indoor web map, use the Pick Facility, and Pick Floor map tools to select a building from the map and choose a specific floor within the facility.

Indoor work orders and service requests

When you create a work order or service request that uses an indoor map, you must associate it with an asset and location. Asset and location data can be filtered by a specific floor in a facility, clustered, and managed with the Indoors map tool. You specify both the Facility ID and the Floor ID on the Services Address tab of location and asset records. Now when you create a work order, you specify the location and asset records, the Facility ID and the Floor ID values on the Services Address tab of the work order are automatically populated.
