Reviewing inspections
To monitor the performance and view the results of an inspection, open an active inspection and click Review inspection.
Reviewing and enabling inspections
If the inspection is configured to run in Inspecting mode, a test inspection is performed on the latest available image from the image source. The overall inspection results appears next to the image, and individual rule results are displayed for each identified object. You can verify whether the model identifies objects correctly, add or update rules, and click Check inspection to rerun the test inspection.
If you are satisfied that the configuration is correct, click Enable inspection.
Viewing inspection images
When the inspection is enabled, click the Images tab to see the processed images in real time. You can sort, search, and filter images. You can also select them to view their metadata or open the corresponding image records in the Maximo® Visual Inspection data set. When you select an inspected image, the image preview displays bounding boxes around all of the identified objects.
If the inspection runs in inspecting mode and contains rules, icons in each image indicate the inspection result. A checkmark icon indicates a pass, an X indicates a fail, and a question mark indicates an inconclusive result. To change an image’s result, select the image and click the Reassign as field to choose a different result.
Each image's metadata, which includes inference metadata and inspection results, is stored with the image in the Maximo Visual Inspection data set. Because these images and metadata are similar to the output of the auto-labeling feature in Maximo Visual Inspection, they increase the quality of the data set and enable your model builder to train a more accurate model.
Monitoring inspection performance
Click the Dashboard icon in the side bar to see performance data for all inspections in the system. See Dashboard view for more information. If you prefer, you can open individual inspections to view their performance data, such as total numbers of images, passes, fails, and inconclusive results.
