Lucene search configuration

The deployment process is changed for Maximo IT. This means lucene search configuration will also be done differently.

Users can no longer make modifications in the search.properties files. Instead, the search fields are now added to system properties such as Problem, Incident, Service Requests, etc.

Steps to configure system properties for keyword tagging feature

To use the keyword tagging feature in lucene search, you will need to edit the system properties for the respective application. Follow the steps below edit system properties for lucene search:
  1. Go to the System Properties application (System Configuration > Platform Configuration > System Properties).,
  2. In the Global Properties table, click the Open Filter icon.
  3. Type mxe.lucene.object.application_name (for example, mxe.lucene.object.solution for Solution app) in the Property Name and press Enter.
  4. Click View details icon to expand the property.
  5. Change the values in Description and Global values accordingly.
  6. Save your changes by clicking on the Save Property icon.
  7. Select the checkbox for the property modified.
  8. Go to Common Actions and click Live Refresh.
