Deleting users in bulk from the MaaS360 Portal

The Bulk Delete Users workflow allows administrators to delete all or specific users from the MaaS360® Portal.

Before you begin

The administrator must deprovision user visibility in the Cloud Extender® and in Azure Configuration (if configured) before any delete actions are taken on users that belong to the Corporate Directory.

About this task

Administrators can delete users that belong to the Corporate Directory or the MaaS360 Directory. When a delete action is taken on a user, users with inactive devices or no devices are permanently deleted from the MaaS360 Portal within 24 hours.

Procedure

  1. From the MaaS360 Portal Home page, select Users > Directory. The User Directory page is displayed.
  2. Click More > Bulk Delete Users.
  3. Choose one of the following options to delete users in bulk:
    • Delete all users
    • Delete specified users
  4. Choose one of the following options for the users that you want to delete in bulk:
    • Corporate Directory: Users with active devices are marked as MaaS360 Directory users and user directory information is deleted for these users. Users with inactive or no devices are permanently deleted.
    • MaaS360 Directory: Users with active devices are not deleted. Users with inactive or no devices are permanently deleted.
  5. To delete specific users from the Corporate Directory or the MaaS360 Directory, follow these steps:
    1. Download the sample file.
    2. Enter the user name, domain, and email address for the users that you want to delete.
    3. Browse and upload the file that contains the list of the users that you want to delete.
  6. Optional: Add comments about the actions that you are taking on deleting users.
  7. Click Continue.
