Tenant settings

As part of your account-provisioning process, tenant settings, such as tenant, country, currency, time zone, unit of measure for weight and distance, are applied to your account.

To view the tenant settings that are configured for your account, see the Get encodings API.

To set values for these settings during your account-providing process, contact IBM® Software Support.

The following tenant settings are available:

Setting name Default value
Country US
Currency USD
Time zone America or New York
Unit of measure for weight Pounds
Unit of measure for length Inches
Unit of measure for distance Miles
Default shipping weight lb

You can modify the settings, like the shipping weight. To modify the tenant settings for your account, you can use the Define settings API. To view the tenant settings that you can modify, use the Get settings API.

You can update the shipping weight by using Order Hub UI. Click Edit and modify value for the Default shipping weight.

You can update Inventory considerations to configure inventory availability and reservation expiration time.

You can see the following Optimization considerations on the Tenant configurations page on the Order Hub UI. For more information, see Managing tenant settings.
  • Optimization constraint - You can apply SLA-based optimization or Date-based optimization as the optimization constraint. For more information about the Optimization constraints, see Optimization constraints.
  • Default currency
  • Node capacity
  • SKU weight
  • Delay penalty
  • Country
  • Time zone

These settings are used during the Calculate pre-purchase shipment assignments calculations.

For shipping commitment days, both the Define settings API and the Get settings API are enhanced to accept a new maxFutureAvailabilityLookahead attribute.

For inventory segmentation allocation and rebalancing, you can set the allocationEnabled attribute to true in the Update settings API. For more information, see Enabling inventory segmentation allocation and rebalancing frequency.
