Instana cloud service agents

Every Cloud provider offers services that it manages directly. For example, while you can get data in and out of an Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) instance, you do not have access to the infrastructure that powers it.

The Instana host agent can be set up in specific ways to monitor such services:

• Alibaba Cloud
• Amazon Web Services
• Google Cloud Platform
• IBM Cloud
• Microsoft® Azure

Notice that these setups are not intended to monitor particular virtual machines on the Cloud providers. For monitoring the hosts and software that run on virtual machines on Cloud providers, like an Amazon Elastic Cloud (Amazon EC2) VM, refer to the Install the Instana host agent documentation.
