a component-based architecture consisting of client and server component
groups. These clients and server are not the same as the clients
and servers of your database management system. You connect the client
and server component groups of Informix SQL
Warehousing Tool to
your existing databases to form a complete warehousing solution.
In a typical production environment, you install the warehouse server and the warehouse client on different computers. The following diagram illustrates the component architecture of the product and provides a basis for planning your installation across multiple computers.
