Exporting environment variables

You can export environment variables to a file (*.env) from the Projects page in the IBM® InfoSphere® DataStage® and QualityStage® Administrator client. You can use the file to import environment variables from the file to other projects.

Procedure

  1. Open the InfoSphere DataStage and QualityStage Administrator client.
  2. On the Projects page, select the project that you want to export environment variables from, and click Properties to open the Project Properties window.
  3. On the General page, click Environment.
  4. In the Environment Variables dialog, click Export to File.
  5. In the Environment Variable Export dialog, in the tree structure that shows all the environment variables in the project, select the check boxes for the environment variables that you want to export.
  6. Click the Export button.
  7. When prompted for the location to export the file, select a path on the client to export to and specify a file name. The default file name is <project_name>.env. Click Save.
