Sources workspace

Use this workspace to identify the host computers, identify the data stores on those host computers, and specify one or more connections to those data stores.

Select Sources to Work With object list

The object list shows all the available host computers. You can add a host computer, select a host computer, identify a data store on that host computer, or view details for that host computer.

Filtering consists of an attribute, an operator, and a value. Click the filter icon and then select the attribute, operator, and a text or date value by which to filter the metadata. You can select to apply the filters to all or to any conditions. When a filter has been applied, the icon changes to indicate that it has been applied. Click Clear to clear the filter.
Name
Shows the name of the host computer.
Connection Name
Shows the name of the connection to the data store.
Created On
Shows the date that the host computer was added to the system.
Created By
Shows the user name of the person who added the host computer.
Last Modified
Shows the date that the details of the host computer were last modified.
Modified By
Shows the user name of the person who modified the details of the host computer.

Tasks pane

Click one of the available tasks to add a host computer, identify a data store on the selected host computer, or edit details for the selected host computer.

New Host Computer
Click to add a host computer to the repository. You must add a host computer before you can identify data stores that are located on that host computer.
Open Details
Click to edit the details, data stores, or the connection that is associated with the selected host computer.
New Data Store
Click to identify a data store on the selected host computer. A data store can be a schema, file, or directory on the host computer that stores data.
Delete
Click to delete the selected host computer or data store. When you delete a data store, the associated data connection is also deleted.
