Managing projects in InfoSphere FastTrack

You can create projects and modify project properties in IBM® InfoSphere® FastTrack. Project properties include associating data sources to your project from the metadata repository and managing users and groups.

Projects contain mapping assets such as mapping specifications. Project properties, such as data sources that can be used in a project and users and groups that can access a project, are applied at the project level.

FastTrack Administrators can create projects, grant access to projects, and view all projects. FastTrack Users can see only the projects that they are authorized to access and cannot change the access properties of a project. FastTrack Users, however, can change other project properties. For example, FastTrack Users can change a project name or add data sources to projects.
