InfoSphere CDC for z/OS authorization requirements
The following list details the minimum authorities required by InfoSphere® CDC for z/OS® in order to execute.
Note: It is recommended that the installation procedures be followed when assigning the necessary Db2® authorities. This includes granting SYSCTRL authority to the user ID that runs InfoSphere CDC
for z/OS, which gives the ID SELECT access to all DB2® system catalog tables.
- SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE access to all metadata tables.
- EXECUTE access to all InfoSphere CDC for z/OS plans and packages
- SELECT access to the following Db2 catalog
tables:
- SYSIBM.SYSCOLUMNS
- SYSIBM.SYSDATABASE
- SYSIBM.SYSDBAUTH
- SYSIBM.SYSFIELDS (INDEX access required)
- SYSIBM.SYSINDEXES
- SYSIBM.SYSKEYS
- SYSIBM.SYSPACKAGE (APAR PI45362 and newer)
- SYSIBM.SYSPACKLIST (APAR PI45362 and newer)
- SYSIBM.SYSPLAN
- SYSIBM.SYSTABAUTH
- SYSIBM.SYSTABLEPART
- SYSIBM.SYSTABLES (ALTER and INDEX access required)
- SYSIBM.SYSTABLESPACE
- SYSIBM.SYSUSERAUTH
- SYSIBM.SYSDUMMY1
- SYSIBM.SYSDUMMYA
- SYSIBM.SYSDUMMYE
- SYSIBM.SYSDUMMYU
- SYSIBM.SYSSTOGROUP
- SYSIBM.SYSCOPY (ALTER access required)
- TRACE and MONITOR2 authority.
- SELECT access to all source tables.
- ALTER access to source tables if the source tables do not already have DATA CAPTURE CHANGES turned on.
- SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE access to all target tables.
- SELECT access to any additional secondary tables used in %SELECT or %GETCOL.
- Any access required for SQL coded in user exits.
Please note that these requirements can change as InfoSphere CDC for z/OS functionality is enhanced.
