Powering the appliance

Under normal conditions, the appliance does not need to be powered off. If the appliance must be moved within the data center, it is necessary to power down the appliance, and you should contact your IBM service representative for assistance. Do not attempt to power off or move the appliance without IBM assistance.

Before you begin

Before powering on the appliance, check that the four main power cables are connected to the data center drops.

Procedure

  1. Switch the breakers to ON on all PDUs.
  2. Power on the nodes.
  3. When all nodes have booted, connect to a node using the KVM or the platform command line interface, log in as apuser (default password puffin), and type the following command: 
    [apuser@node0101 ~]# apstart
