Upgrading IBM Fusion

Upgrade to the latest version so you can have access to the new functionalities and improvements that enhance your overall experience with IBM Fusion.

To achieve the upgrade, you must follow these steps in sequence:
  1. Upgrade IBM Fusion software to the most recent version.
  2. Upgrade all services in the specified sequence. For more information about the service upgrades, see Upgrading IBM Fusion services.
Each step builds on the previous one, so ensure they are performed in the correct order for a successful upgrade. Before you begin each of the upgrades, thoroughly review the prerequisites, support matrix, limitations, and known issues.

The IBM Fusion software is upgraded from the OpenShift® console.

You can upgrade the services from the Services page or the Settings > Upgrades page of the IBM Fusion user interface.

When you upgrade from the Services page, you can initiate upgrade of individual services based on the availability of a new version. In the Upgrade page, you can initiate multiple non-disruptive and rolling upgrades of service in parallel. For both non disruptive and rolling upgrades, you can view the status of the prechecks and monitor the progress of the upgrade. In the Services page, click View upgrade details of a ongoing service upgrade and in the Upgrade page, you can click the service tile of an ongoing upgrade to monitor the pre-check results and the progress of the upgrade in a slide out pane.
