Selecting multiple messages

Instead of issuing an action to a single message or order, you can issue an action to multiple messages or orders at once. To do this, select multiple messages in the message list and then right-click the selection to open the pop-up menu. Figure 1 shows four selected messages and the corresponding pop-up menu.

To select multiple messages:

  1. Select the first message.
  2. Hold down the Shift- or Ctrl-key and select further messages.

Alternatively, you can select all messages using the key combination Ctrl-A while the focus is within the message list.

The pop-up menu contains all actions which can be executed on at least one of the selected messages or orders. When you select an action, it is carried out on all selected messages or orders which are in an applicable state for the action. For example, in Figure 1, the 'Delete Message' action will be applied to the three selected messages in the state 'Awaiting Confirmation' but not to the selected message with sequence '100002.1', which is in the 'Printing' state.
