Getting product support updates

With the My Notifications service, you can subscribe to support updates for any IBM® product. You can customize and categorize the products that you want to be informed about and the delivery methods that best suit your needs. For example, you can specify that you want to receive daily or weekly email announcements. The type of information that you want to receive, such as the following, can also be configured:
  • Publications
  • Hints and tips
  • Product flashes, which are also known as alerts.
  • Downloads
  • Drivers

For FTM, subscribe to support updates for FTM and its co-packaged products. The list of co-packaged products for FTM is found by going to the Software Requirements page. Select the version, product, and platform. Then, use the Packaging list tab to view the list.

To subscribe to support updates, use the following steps.
  1. To get started, click the Sign up for My Notifications link in this topic. Click Subscribe now! on that page.
  2. Use your IBM ID to sign in to My Notifications. If you do not have an IBM ID, follow the instructions to create one.
  3. After you sign in to My Notifications, enter the name of the product that you want to subscribe to in the Product lookup field. The look-ahead feature lists the product names that match what you typed. If the product name does not appear, you can browse for the product name instead.
  4. Next to the product name, click the Subscribe link. A green check mark is shown to indicate that the subscription is created. The subscription is listed under product subscriptions.
  5. To indicate the type of notices that you want to receive notifications for, click the Edit link. To save your changes, click Submit.
  6. To indicate the frequency and format of the email messages you receive, click Delivery preferences. Then, click Submit.
  7. Optionally, you can click the RSS/Atom feed by clicking Links. Then, copy and paste the link into your feeder.
  8. To see any notifications that were sent to you, click View.
