Data model overview

The FTM data model has the following parts:
Operational database
This database stores live transaction data and events.
Configuration database
This database stores the FSM definitions and the details of the channels, mappers, and formats that are configured.

Generally, the FTM flow coordinator, which is the transaction processing part of FTM, writes to the operational database but reads only from the configuration database. However, the FTM Operations and Administration Console writes to the configuration database but reads only from the operational database.

The documentation for the FTM data model for this version is provided in the entitled documentation fix pack for FTM. For more information about getting the fix pack, see FTM support links.
