You can delete a FileNet®
P8
domain
and optionally create a domain to replace the one that you deleted.
About this task
Important: Deleting a domain is an irreversible
operation.
Procedure
To delete a FileNet
P8
domain:
- Determine the database or table space that is used by the
domain's global configuration database. For more information, see Determining the location of the global configuration
database
- Delete all object stores for the domain. For more information,
see Deleting an object store.
- Close or log out of any tools that access this domain:
- Log out of all Administration Console for Content Platform Engine sessions.
- Close FileNet Deployment Manager.
- Stop the application server on which Content Platform Engine runs. For example,
stop WebSphere® Application
Server if Content Platform Engine runs on that server.
- Open the appropriate tool for your database vendor to access
the database or table space. For example, you might open from
the Microsoft Windows start menu.
- In the database provider tool, find the database or table
space for the global configuration database.
- In the database or table space for the global configuration
database, drop the tables with names that begin with
FNGCD
.
- Start the application server.
