Disabling fields for GRESB reporting

If you have an existing process that doesn’t involve IBM® Envizi ESG Suite for sending data to GRESB, you can disable reporting for certain fields so that validation and data completeness calculations at the group level disregard the fields.

Procedure

  • To disable fields for a single location, use the following steps:
    1. In the GRESB Asset Summary (with API) page, select the fields you want to disable.
    2. Right-click and select one of the disable options.
When you disable a field, the contents of that field will be hidden for the selected period because when data is being organized to send to GRESB, the contents of the grid are used to create the data set. Therefore, the actual data must be hidden when building the data set. To see disabled fields, review the Disabled column.
    3. To enable a field, select the rows, right-click and click Enable.
  • To disable fields in bulk within a group, use the following steps:
    1. In the GRESB group review page, click Disable Fields.
The Disable Fields dialog is displayed.
    2. From the Section list, select the sections that contain fields that you want to disable.
If you do not select any sections, by default all the sections are selected.
      Asset Characteristics
Some of the fields in the section cannot be disabled for either the current period or the previous period because they are compulsory fields for GRESB API data transfer. Some of the other fields in the section can be disabled only for the current period. Asset characteristics are considered as non-annual data.
      Building Certifications
Only fields in the current period can be disabled. Building certifications and energy ratings are considered as non-annual data.
    3. From the Field list, select the fields that you want to disable.
The available fields depend on the sections that you select. You can select multiple fields. If you do not select any fields, by default all the fields are selected.
    4. From the Period list, select either All Periods, Previous Period, or Current Period.
The default value is All Periods.
    5. From the Select Location(s) list, you can select multiple locations.
If you do not select any locations, by default all the locations in the group are selected.

Results

If a field is disabled for any period, the corresponding Current - Envizi and Previous - Envizi columns on the location’s GRESB Asset Summary (with API) page are blank to indicate that no value will be sent to GRESB.
