Using Tableau

You can load data from several reports in IBM® ESG Suite into Tableau for performing visual analytics by using the Envizi ESG Suite APIs.

Tableau does not provide an out-of-the box connection tool for connecting to third party web service APIs, similar to the Envizi ESG Suite APIs. To connect Tableau to Envizi ESG Suite APIs, you must build a web data connector in Tableau. For more information about building, testing and deploying web connectors, see either the Web Data Connector 2.0 documentation or the Web Connector 3.0 documentation on the Tableau website.

Note: Tableau Web Data Connector 2.0 is being deprecated at Tableau in 2023 and will eventually be retired. Depending on your Tableau version, you might need to upgrade your web data connector to use the 3.0 version.
