Use the Current APIs to get weather data related to current conditions, such as alerts, air quality, and storm information.

Alert Details
The Weather Alert Details API provides the details for a single requested event for weather watches, warnings, statements and advisories issued by the NWS (National Weather Service), Environment Canada and MeteoAlarm. These weather alerts can provide crucial life-saving information. Weather alerts can be complicated and do not always follow consistent standards, format and rules. The Weather Company (TWC) strives to ensure that the information is consistent from all of the different sources but the content is subject to change whenever there is an update from the authoritative source.
Alert Headlines

These weather alerts can provide crucial life-saving information. Weather alerts can be complicated and do not always follow consistent standards, format and rules. Current Conditions - Gridded (Tiler) and Polygonal (Featurizer)
The ‘Tiler’, and ‘Featurizer’ products support data visualization and analytics.
PWS Observations - Current Conditions
Personal Weather Stations (PWS) Current Conditions returns the current conditions observations for the current record.Current record is the last record reported within 60 minutes. If the station has not reported a current conditions in the past 60 minutes, the response will not return an expired observation record (older than 60 minutes); a 'Data Expired' message will be returned instead.
Site-Based Current Conditions
Current Conditions are sourced from physical site-based observation stations. This API returns the latest weather observation for the location supplied to include current temperatures, winds, pressure and other observed weather information. Weather observations are reported from physical devices deployed worldwide (weather data collected from METAR, SYNOP, BUOY, CMAN devices).
Site-Based Time-Series Observations
The Time-Series Observations returns the previous 24 hour period from the previous day up to the last reported current condition today. Current Conditions are sourced from physical site-based observation stations. This API returns the latest weather observation for the location supplied to include current temperatures, winds, pressure and other observed weather information. Weather observations are reported from physical devices deployed worldwide (weather data collected from METAR, SYNOP, BUOY, CMAN devices).
Air Quality - Global
The Global Air Quality API includes an overall Air Quality Index, Air Quality Category Index and Category. This API also includes the principal pollutant type, measurement, index number and level, and any applicable health recommendation text. The Global Air Quality geographical coverage includes all land based areas in the world.
Pollen Observation
The current US pollen observation content for a valid TWC location in the supported region or latitude/longitude. The US Pollen Observation returns the pollen observation content for a valid TWC located in the supported region or latitude/longitude coordinate. The API will return the index and index description for three pollen types (tree, weed, grass) and for mold. The API supports two languages – English and Spanish for the US.

Tropical Observation Current Position
The Tropical Current Position - Active Track API provides the ability query the current position per active storm. Active storm - any storm that has reported in the last 168 hours.
Currents on Demand
The Weather Current Conditions are generated on demand from The Weather Company (TWC) Currents On Demand (CoD) system. CoD is a system that, at request time, assimilates a variety of meteorological inputs to derive a current condition value precise to the requested location on the Earth's surface. The meteorological inputs include physical surface observations, radar, satellite, lightning and short-term forecast models. The CoD system spatially and temporally blends each input appropriately at request-time, producing a result that improves upon any individual input used on its own.
