IBM i software keys - Access and requirements

• You need to be registered for one or more customer numbers. You can use Register Customer Number application.
• You need to have Manage keys authorization.
• You can view and remove customer numbers and see authorizations available for your profile in the View My Authorizations application.
• You can find details in Registering a Customer Number.

Quick Access without a registered customer number is available for following functions.

• Create interim keys.
• Download OS and interim keys in the "Download Keys" section.

• The software license keys generated for a machine’s serial number are based on that machine’s entitlements.
• Check in Inventory Explorer > Software license - Entitlements for a list of ePoes.
